This course will provide the participant with the skills and knowledge to provide a first aid response to a casualty in a sports environment.
The Junior Sports Trainer course is designed for trainers in a junior sport that does not require a Sports Trainer Level 1.

Prerequisites
It is a prerequisite for this course to have:
- A current first aid certificate HLTAID011
- A current CPR certificate HLTAID009
- Completed the AFL First Aid and Concussion Management online module within the previous 12 months
Certificate & Currency
A certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the course.
To maintain currency at this level:
- This course should be updated every 3 years
- First Aid (HLTAID011) updated every 3 years
- CPR (HLTAID009) updated every 12 months
Trainers
First Aid Management & Training Centre's trainers deliver this course, they are all qualified with Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and have relevant sports training experience.
